According to Bodin, who is looking for the ideal management style, in fact, various management styles have their own positive and negative aspects. Public administration seems to have some virtues in terms of aiming at equality, raising a large number of great men, and involving different segments of society in the management of public affairs.

However, this is just an image. The absence of equality among people, the ignorance and inability of the people to perform public affairs, wipe out all these apparent benefits. When taken to its logical conclusion, the principle of making state affairs to the elite, envisages that all powers and responsibilities should be given to the most elite among the elite, namely the king.

These ideas, which Bodin put forward during the rise of central kingdoms and national states in Europe, caused his fame to become widespread outside of France.
