Paracelsus can be described as the founder of modern pharmacology (Pharmacology) as well as modern medicine.

He did research on many chemicals and discovered antimony that later in the 17th and 18th centuries, antimony was frequently used as a medicine or in drug mixtures by those who supported the views of iatrochemistry; These types of drugs are called arcana-type drugs. Paracelsus is said to have borrowed some terms from Arabic, and the term alcohol is cited as an example.

Paracelsus influenced many scientists in later periods. Of these, van Helmont especially studied the digestive and respiratory systems. We know that van Helmont discovered the carbon dioxide gas he called Silvester gas.
