The pursuit of philosophy begins with a person making his ideas and thoughts on any subject clear to himself. With this clarification, he creates the awareness of the problem, that is, he realizes how much reflection improves his thoughts.

Basic stages such as understanding an idea, evaluating it, gaining a philosophical content, creating or reconstructing a new idea and expressing it can be considered as “philosophy”. The most effective way to do philosophy is to develop philosophical literacy skills.

philosophical literacy; requires adequate knowledge of the basic terms and perspectives of philosophy. Becoming a philosophy reader begins with a tendency to understand texts with a philosophical interest. First of all, it is researched what the problem or problems in the text are, which concepts and terms are used, and in what sense they are used in the context of the text. Then, the ideas, arguments, criticisms that develop the problem and the transitions between them are determined.

The basic meaning of the text is mostly reinterpreted and evaluated from the perspective of the reader. The way of reading philosophical texts allows for plural reading. In other words, it can be read and interpreted from different angles for every reader, even for the same reader. In this respect, philosophical literacy is also the first step of philosophical authorship.

To attempt to write a philosophical text, reading is not enough, it is also necessary to develop a personal view on what is read. While writing a philosophical text, care should be taken to ensure that the expressions are consistent, original and systematic. With writing, people make their knowledge and experiences in reading text visible in a holistic way.

In this topic, you will be asked to analyze philosophical texts. In order to analyze a philosophical text, you will need to determine how the concept, philosophical problem, point of view and ideas in the text have an effect on the solution of current problems.

What is a philosophical text, how is it written?
How to develop alternative views?
