What is the relationship between philosophy and religion? This question is the answer sought for the relationship between philosophy and religion. This question has been frequently discussed in the field of philosophy and theology.

Religion and philosophy actually have a close relationship with each other. In fact, there are strong views that accept that philosophy started with the criticism of religious beliefs in Ancient Greece.

According to this understanding, which accepts that philosophy started as a criticism of religion, philosophy that created itself by criticizing religion was intertwined with religion in the Middle Ages and was used to ground religious beliefs. Today, a discipline called philosophy of religion has emerged from the close relationship of these two disciplines, which deals with and examines the basic concepts of religion and tries to ground religious principles.

There is a similarity between philosophy and religion in terms of their aim. Both seek to find the most fundamental in terms of existence and value. They are in an effort to understand and explain the universe and man.

There are differences between philosophy and religion in terms of their sources and methods. The information revealed in religion is transmitted through the messengers of God through revelation. In philosophy, the truth is reached through reason and reasoning.

Religion is divine in terms of its source, philosophy is a human product. Again, religion is closed to change. There is no room for doubt. Basic rules and commandments must be believed. Philosophy, on the other hand, is based on reasoning; Asks questions, doubts, is open to criticism. In this way, it constantly reveals new information and changes.

SIMILAR Aspects of Philosophy and Religion
Some problems that fall within the subject of philosophy are also among the subjects of religion.

In other words, philosophy and religion are both the purpose of human existence, the existence of the universe, the value of life, morality, values, humanity, etc. includes topics.
DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION
There is a skeptical and critical attitude in philosophy.
This attitude helps people to reach the right information.
The truths of religion consist of what the holy book and the prophet reported.
After believing in the truths of religion, there is no doubt. Because belief (faith) is essential in these truths.
In more philosophical terms, religion is dogmatic, while philosophy is a rational activity.
