Relation between Aesthetics and Philosophy of ArtJune 29, 2021
Aesthetic; It is a branch of philosophy that questions what beauty is and tries to reach its knowledge.
Philosophy of art, on the other hand, is a branch of philosophy that deals with the works (works of art) created by humans, questions what art is, and examines the activity of the artist. While aesthetics questions the beauty in both nature and art, philosophy of art only questions the beauty in art. In this respect, aesthetics is more comprehensive.
The basic questions of aesthetics; What is beauty? What are the factors that make beauty beautiful? Are these factors found in the subject or the object? are such questions.
