Knowledge of knowledge.
The term epistemology naming the general branch of science that directly examines the phenomenon of knowledge and the phenomenon of knowing, Al. It is a translation of the phrase Erkenntnistheorie and has been established in other languages (eg Fr. théorie de la connaissance, English theory of knowledge). In fact, the Turkish equivalent of gnoseology and epistemology idioms is epistemology.
The term information theory names a branch of science that directly examines what knowledge is and seeks the answer to the question: How does the phenomenon of knowledge occur? This question covers issues of essence, sources and boundaries of knowledge. The fact that the terms epistémologie (Os. İlmiyât), gnosgologie (Os. Mebhası mârifet) and théorie de la connaissance (Os. Nazariyei ilm) which are used with very close meanings in Western languages belonging to the Indo-European language group, are translated into Turkish with the term epistemology creates confusion. However, this confusion also exists to some extent in Western languages. For this reason, the English philosopher Baldwin suggested that the critique of the science that examines the essence-source-limit of the phenomenon of knowledge be expressed in terms of epistemologie and the critique of the phenomenon of knowledge in terms of existence value, in terms of gnoséologie.
In fact, the difference in meaning between these two terms arises from the difference in the method used to obtain information. The term epistémologie denotes the branch of science that studies what scientific knowledge is, and the term gnoséologie denotes the branch of science that studies what intuitive knowledge is. Théorie de la connaissance, on the other hand, examines the relations between the knower and the known. In addition, the term epistemology means rationalism, sensibility, intuitionism, empiricism, etc., which asserts the source of knowledge. It also names various teachings of knowledge, such as On the other hand, it is a branch of philosophy that investigates the value of knowledge. However, all these are studies and studies of metaphysical philosophy. The epistemology of dialectical materialist philosophy is the theory of reflection, which clearly demonstrates what knowledge is, how it is obtained, its validity and necessity.
