Philosophy that holds that reality is an indivisible whole. The most true philosophical monism, which finds the basis of existence in a single reality and asserts this on the basis of scientific data, is the doctrine of dialectical materialism. The dialectical materialist doctrine is a philosophical monist by explaining all the events of the universe from a single principle, from matter. On the other hand, thoughtism, which tries to explain the universe from a single ideal principle, is also a philosophical monism, but this philosophical monism is refuted every day with the development of sciences.
