What Is Space, What Does It Mean?July 2, 2021
The infinite space in which all beings are; that contains all that exists. It’s one of the ways that matter exists. Space is the general form of existence of matter. Just as there can be no matter outside of space, there can be no space outside of matter. Matter exists in space and time. Kant argued that space and time exist only in our thinking. Metaphysical thought considered space and time separately and imagined that they were independent patterns. Einstein (1879-1955) proved that space and time are interdependent, and that one cannot exist without the other. Special and general theories of relativity have made it clear that the materiality of space and time, that is, matter is the way it exists.
