What is the End, What Does It Mean?

What is the End, What Does It Mean?

The end of anything.

1. It is synonymous with the concept of purpose in metaphysical language. Metaphysicians sometimes use beginning-end phrases instead of cause-end phrases. In this understanding, the end is prior to the beginning because it is latent in it, and therefore it is the condition of its existence, and the condition of the condition is prior to what it is as logical necessity. This understanding of idealism gained importance especially in the philosophies of Aristotle and Hegel. In Aristotle’s chain of existence, the initial term is formless matter, and the last term is immaterial form (i.e. absolute form, god). According to the final understanding, the end is the real beginning, and God becomes the first and the beginning of everything.

2. Indicates the limit reached in a backward analysis. In this sense, the end expresses the limit that occurs when it is found impossible to go further, or there is nothing beyond it. In metaphysics, the last in this sense is definitive and synonymous with its first expressions. For example, in colloquial speech we say the last car, which in a sense means the first car.

3-Theology: The ‘end of the universe’ dogma is a common belief in almost all religions. The universe was created by god and will be destroyed again by god. Theology also tries to use scientific assumptions to support this dogma. Among these, especially the theory of ‘thermal end’ is a theory that theologians embrace. Although this theory of Boltzmann has been scientifically refuted, it is true that everything in the universe has a beginning and an end. Because of this, of course, the world will come to an end. However, the universe (i.e., all material being) is infinite. Starting from the dogma of the limitlessness of divine power, theology generalizes the concept of the world with the concept of the universe and talks about the thermal end of the universe.

Apart from the scientific fact that the finite necessarily includes and requires the infinite, many scientific findings, especially in the field of physical chemistry, have proved the infinity of the universe (? N.). For example, one of these findings is the law of conservation of matter. According to this law, nothing in the universe disappears and does not come into existence out of nothing. This means that if the universe exists now, it has always existed and will always continue to exist. Matter exists because it has always existed, because according to this law of physical chemistry it could not have come into existence out of nothing (? N.). Matter exists because it exists and will always exist, because it cannot be destroyed according to this physical law of chemistry. It can also be said: If there was a time when nothing existed in the universe (when nothing existed, it would not exist in the universe N.), then there must be nothing to bring non-existent into existence (even if nothing exists, laws of nature exist) may be. N.). The famous physicist Einstein wrote that “it is not appropriate to extend the laws of finite matter to infinite matter, that is, to the universal realm” (Einstein also said that the laws of nature apply everywhere in the universe N.). Matter is constantly changing form and exists in brand new concrete forms. (Brand new concrete forms must also obey the universal laws of nature N.).

Quantitative changes accumulate and lead to qualitative changes in a rush. It has been proven that brand new stars are being born in the universe at every moment, in clusters. If our world, like every finite one in the infinite universe, is going to end one day, it will be the end of just one circuit of the evolutionary spiral. But this end will also ensure the realization of a brand new stage in the evolution of indestructible matter. Famous physicists K. Stankuyovich and M. Vasilyev state in their work Matter and Man: “Man has enough time to raise his own knowledge to unimaginable levels today, and long before the sun reaches dangerous old age, man will not be able to assemble any number of planets in other star systems.” capable of diving into the vastness of the endless Milky Way”.
