In the Peripatos School, especially “historical sciences” were given importance. Some texts belonging to the history of religion and music from this period have survived to the present day. and they were interested in their comments.
In particular, they did their language studies with great care. We owe the works of Aristotle that we have today to the meticulous and consistent work of these Peripatosists. The most famous of these commentators is Alexander of Aphrodisias.
