Alcibiades Cleiniou Scambonides (b. 450 BC – 404 BC) was an ancient Greek general and statesman. Alcibiades was born in Athens. His father is Cleinias and his mother is Deinomache. Her mother is the daughter of Megacles. Alcibiades is the last celebrity in his mother’s family of aristocratic descent.

It was famous for the Peloponnesian War. He was trained by Pericles, he was a student of Socrates . He encouraged the Athenians to wage war on Sicily, but was dismissed to stand trial for the accusations made by his personal enemies before the attack. For this reason, Alcibiades, who fled to Sparta, betrayed Athens. However, it was re- chosen as a strategos by Athens in 407 BC . They blamed him for the defeats in the Battle of Notion. He was assassinated in Iran.
