Who is Anaksarkhos of Abdera?December 13, 2020
Anaxarkhos, who is thought to have lived around 340 years before Christ, is a Greek philosopher who is a continuation of the Democritus school.
He was the teacher of Pyrrhon, the founder of the Skeptical School.
Anaxarkhos was a close friend of Alexander the Great. He participated in major Asian expeditions with him. Plutarch portrays him as one of the sophisticated, cocky philosophers next to Alexander.
