Felix Kaufmann Felix Kaufmann was an Austrian-American philosopher and lawyer who lived from July 4, 1895 to December 23, 1949.
Kaufmann studied law and philosophy in Vienna. He gave lectures at the university where he studied until 1938 as a lecturer. It was very difficult for Kaufmann, one of the philosophers of the Vienna Circle, to stay in Vienna after this year; because Nazi Germany had started a massacre against the Jews. Kaufmann, who was also Jewish, had to go to America. He had the opportunity to work with Karl Popper at Cambridge University.
Kaufmann died in the United States in 1949.
