Stanley Hall, or Granville Stanley Hall, is an American psychologist and thinker. Granville Stanley Hall is one of the most influential and important figures in American psychology.

Hall was the first American student of Wundt’s first psychology lab in Leipzig and also the first person in the United States to receive a doctorate in psychology. Hall was also the first president of Clark University and the first president of the American Psychological Association.

Hall conducted studies on the psychological developmental stages of human beings and was called the “Darwin of the Spirit” for his “evolutionary development thesis” in this field. According to Ten, the normal development of the human mind goes through a series of evolutionary stages.
