Nusret Hızır was born in Istanbul. He studied philosophy, mathematics and physics abroad.
In 1934, he started his academic studies at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Philosophy. He continued his studies by giving lectures on philosophy of science and logical positivism at Ankara Faculty of Language, History and Geography. He also took classes at Hacettepe and METU and worked as a consultant at the Turkish Historical Society.
Nusret Hızır is of the opinion that philosophy and science have their own language. It states that systematic human activities such as philosophy and science have their own language and special concepts. Saying that his philosophy is within the dialectical framework, Nusret Hızır states that he also adopts the view of analytical philosophy to philosophy. Nusret Hızır, who says that he deals with the analysis of the propositions put forward by philosophy and science according to analytical philosophy, states that it is wrong to see philosophy as just that. According to him, what analytical philosophy reaches as a result of analysis is a part of the whole. He is against showing the part as a whole. He says that analytical philosophy, which he states that he has fallen into a stagnant position due to method concern, only works in reaching the part, while the dialectical method is useful in the whole.
Nusret Hızır received the Turkish Language Association 1977 Essay Award with his book “Philsefe Yazıları”. In addition to his numerous academic works, he published “Philosophy in the Light of Science”, “The Remains” etc. with translation books from Nietzsche and Erasmus. has works.
