American moral philosopher and prominent animal rights activist.
Regan is professor emeritus at the University of North Carolina. He served at the university from 1967 until his retirement in 2001. Regan has written many other books on animal rights, such as The Case for Animal Rights (1983). His work has significantly influenced modern animal rights movements.
Along with Peter Singer, he actively helped animal liberation movements for animal rights in the 1960s. She has made ethical statements on the issue to support animal rights struggles that act to treat animals with respect. His philosophical main point is that animals are just like humans, and they have desire, emotion, beliefs, drives, and memory in their lives, just like humans. For example, animals have the same rights to live as humans.
For more than 40 years he has taken active action against the exploitation and commercial hunting of animals.
