Walter (Arnold) Kaufmann (1921-1980), German writer, philosopher, translator and poet.
He immigrated to the USA in 1939. He studied at Harvard. As much as philosophy and literature; He has written on many subjects such as death, moral philosophy, existentialism, deism, atheism, Christianity, and Judaism, and served as a professor at Princeton University for more than 30 years.
He is known as a student and translator of Nietzsche. He wrote a book on Hegel in 1965. He also translated the first part of Goethe’s work, Faust.
